Yes photo no.2 is definately a male 'OOMIGOOLIES' bird. This bird is native to Australia and parts of Africa and lives in low lying thorny scrubland.It has very short legs and every time that it comes in to land it screeches "oomigoolies' very loudly.

I was not able to enter these pictures in last weeks photo competition with the 'Concrete' theme as they were not taken at the time of the competition.I think that these barges were really interesting being constructed of concrete blocks during the last world war as there was a shortage of steel.It is amazing that they are still floating and in quite good condition after all this time.
one was taken at Port Penrhyn,near Bangor, North Wales and the other at the Ellesmere Port boat museum on the Wirral,not far from Liverpool UK.
