Nipce series! Warm colors, talk about golden light!

You might consider straightening the horizon on #3.

Thank you JD and I'll look into that straightening thing! :)

I don't remember ever seeing the lake that still. It's been some time since I've been to the dunes, but I'm less then an hour away and finally retiring this week so maybe I'll be there soon.

It doesn't happen that often but when it is this flat it's quite strange. The visit before this one, it was so windy the beach was pretty much nonexistent due to the waves. Thanks for looking and commenting, I appreciate it. :)

made me feel homesick for Michigan. People who have never seen the great lakes or driven the shoreline have no idea just how big they are. to steal a line from Richard Nixon it is indeed a great lake (wall)

Thanks for looking and commenting. It is true about the size of Lake Michigan, you really don't realize how big it is until you see it for yourself. I have a friend from South Africa that commented that " it looks like the ocean " the first time she saw it.

I think the stone effects are interesting but can't decide if the photo is better for it. I do like how the stones in the first one lead to the boat.
The last photo though is the one! Excellent!

Thanks RJ for looking and commenting, I do appreciate it. While I was waiting to take some shots, my husband was skipping stones and I liked how the water looked, so I had him toss in some too.

My husband and I went out to Kemil Beach, part of the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore the other day to watch the sunset. Lake Michigan was totally flat. I think it gave a very ethereal feel to these images. I had him toss, and skip stones as I took some of the photos. I think it worked well!

Thank you Sue. I forgot to mention that this one seems to be missing its tail.

Very nice photo I have a one of a female Cardinal missing it's tail. I just chalked it up to the neighbors cats getting a little too close but not quite close enough, hahaha.
