Had a 70-300 Tamron. Fair pictures, but slow to focus and after a year of use lens creep became progressively worse. Got ride of it, and it had little resale valus.
you're right. I never auto. I always, no matter what the case, manual focus. It cost me around $40
I have a couple of Tamrons ....Great value lens. Just look at the beautiful photo submissions. I won a silly little newspaper contest with my 70 -300 using this photo.
I have the same bird feeder, or at least I use to, till a possum destroyed it.
Ha...really!? I can't sit and have breakfast and lunch and see this thing out the window. Squirrels minds are blown when they put they're weight on it and the little doors close. Entertaining.
Funny, I'd been try shot of this guy for a good 3 weeks. I don't have much time to go bird hunting around here but 2 or 3 days ago I was walking thru the back yard with camera in my hand and there he was. It's a decent > good shot

OK, the answer is posted. It is titled, Answer: Miss Lube Rack 1955 but it is not in todays main index as you can see, it did not make it. Just go to "Newest Topics" and look near the bottom of page 1 to find it. Enjoy.
Good capture. The best one I saw was a horizontal cloud to cloud. Unfortunately I was still in the process of setting up my camera. From the color radar it looked like your area really got hit the other night.
Thank you sir! I love, on yours, that smaller parallel bolt coming down with the big one. So cool
Yeah we got slammed out of nowhere. Some golf ball size hail came along too
