Had a 70-300 Tamron. Fair pictures, but slow to focus and after a year of use lens creep became progressively worse. Got ride of it, and it had little resale valus.

I have a couple of Tamrons ....Great value lens. Just look at the beautiful photo submissions. I won a silly little newspaper contest with my 70 -300 using this photo.

I have the same bird feeder, or at least I use to, till a possum destroyed it.

Ha...really!?
I can't sit and have breakfast and lunch and see this thing out the window. Squirrels minds are blown when they put they're weight on it and the little doors close. Entertaining.

Funny, I'd been try shot of this guy for a good 3 weeks. I don't have much time to go bird hunting around here but 2 or 3 days ago I was walking thru the back yard with camera in my hand and there he was.
It's a decent > good shot

Interesting article from Scott Kelby's blog about how to save space in camera by only shooting RAW and then using IJFR to extract jpeg from raw.

Sadly that site is real and the photographers that are featured there really do believe they are producing quaitly images. If you visit enough, sometimes one of the featured photographers will find out they made the page and well that's when it get's interesting.

Or of course you can visit the forum there where people post their images for feedback and to find out if they are "fauxtogs" are not. Warning... if you aren't ready for the truth, don't post there. I like to read there, it's pure drama at times, lol.

Every time I see an image with selective color, I have to stifle my gag reflex, but this may have exceeded even that threshold:

Good capture. The best one I saw was a horizontal cloud to cloud. Unfortunately I was still in the process of setting up my camera. From the color radar it looked like your area really got hit the other night.

Thank you sir! I love, on yours, that smaller parallel bolt coming down with the big one. So cool

Yeah we got slammed out of nowhere. Some golf ball size hail came along too
