I'm more looking for some ideas to go try it out
. Where are some good places to go in mobile,al?

AFTER you read your manual and know where all the controls are located AND how to use them - try Bellingrath Gardens - it is a beautiful house and gardens. If you want a variety of subjects, Bellingrath has a river, dock, large landscaped lawns, critters - rabbits, crabs, butterflies, lizards. The home is an architectural marvel. Do a Google search for Bellingrath Gardens and you will find out what flowers are in bloom and special events.

When you shoot, take your time, watch the lighting, compose your shot, and shoot.

Have fun

I was taking pictures at a party, very try low light,, at some point the pictures started to be blurry...no tripod.. what was I doing wrong,, some of the pictures came out wayyy to dark...
I am using the wrong lens? which lens is better for low low light situations? I was shooting in av, playing with the f stop...

It looks like you were using Evaluative Metering, which will evaluate the entire scene - if you use Center Weighed you should end up with a better exposure - You can bump up the ISO to a degree but be careful that you dont get noise in your pictures

Showing your age? Not so fast. . . . I have at least 4 Commodore 64's and a box full of 1541 and 1581 drives and a couple of Commodore 128 and over 11,000 programs for them! Not counting all the tape drives and dot matrix printers.

I guess I am the "Old Guy" here!!

But the best part is that I know where all if it is stored.

AND I just remembered that I have a Timex Sinclare. tape drive and some software !

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to see your fantastic video. However . . . If it was not for the outstanding camera work, this video not have the impact that we saw. The focus, exposure, sound was perfect. Congratulations on having the 'clip of the century'!

yes but can you fit a jpeg into a square hhole?

And I suppose you already know why manhole covers are always round, eh?

Manholes are round because any other shape manhole cover would fall in the hole.

Yep - just like Larry said... Circular polarizer is the way to go...

There are different grades of neutral density and fluorescent filters - I keep several different ones handy. I am old school and prefer to do this optically rather than digitally. Filters opens up more possibilities to manipulate what your sees.

I do a lot of sunsets and sunrises - filters make them "pop"!

Good luck and have fun!

Which filters do you use for your sunsets & sunrises?
