Good luck, I am doing the same tomorrow, I've done it before & all but one didn't like Santa. Definitely need tripod but I walked around before Santa arrived & got some neat shots. I am still a newbie but enjoy doing this. I am in Niagara area as well.lol.

I bought a few extra sd cards, I went in 2009 & didn't have my laptop either, watch for sales & this makes life a lot easier. Enjoy your trip.
