Do all of the above and check out the venue before hand to get some ideas of interesting shots. And make list of shots you want (mother and groom, bride and mom etc) Terrible if a tthe end of the day you realize the father of the bride never had a photo with his daughter

It is fine to photograph the outside of a building that has no people in the shot.T he steeples themselves are another problem. The problem is they are kind of uninteresting. A pointy thing with a cross on the top. Try to frame it with tree branches or catch the light reflecting off the cross n the top. Or photograph it from a really steep angle from almost directly below. Or if you can, place it in context, showing the houses around it. Try googling images of steeples for some ideas.
hope this helps.

Monochrome is simply photographs with only one hue. Like black and white or sepia toned. Go here to see some excellent examples

Flowers look good. Maybe could have had a bigger depth of field on the first iris so more of it would be in focus, but it's all good. 8-)
Try stopping down more with a longer shutter

Not much of a joiner of sites but I do like photography. I will probably just "creep" around as I am too busy to do much more. Have a great day!
