Not much wintery around here, anyways! The only way I can tell its not the other three is that our trees are almost bare! :)

And you'll get hundreds of hits, including your original UHH post.

I know. The only thing I was missing was voltage information, provided by someone else. But thank you. :)

I picked this up at a thrift shop, cheap, mostly for the flash cable. My sister pointed out and said I might want to know the actual ohms on it, before hooking it up to my Kodak? Any help for a camera newb?

All it came with was flash, cable, and a small note packet, which doesn't have this on it.

I was not able to find any info on the 173a but the 171a and 175a both have to much voltage

Alright, thanks. What is the voltage, then? Just for reference. :)

Have you tried Googling it?

Yep, nothing really comes up, save eBay auctions that neglect this information. :)

Some pictures we, my sister and I, took with a recently resurrected HP Photosmart 935c camera. Were trying out with a tripod and long exposures-- some CCD noise, I'm afraid, but. :)

Hi, I'm Asuyuka. I'm a 25 year old nerd with a camera. :D

I dabble a lot in arts, from music (FLStudio and Mixtikl), Digital and 3D (way too many to list) and Photography.

I have two cameras on hand-- an old Pentax ZX-M as my analog, and a newer (barely) Kodak DX6490 Easyshare.

I'm an amateur, but I love it. :)

And if I'm allowed to show off some pictures in my intro posts? :)

And one taken with my parent's Coolpix. I was toying with the dusk settings :) So it came from the camera purple:

My SLR is analog. My other camera is an old Kodak digital. It does have lots of noise, but I love how light it is and how I can take it nearly everywhere. Then again, my SLR is not that heavy (its a Pentax ZX-M, a student Pentax. My digital is a DX6490)

I think that if I were to upgrade to a better than point and shoot camera, I would get a hybrid. They look very interesting, higher quality images without a mirror. :)

Thanks everyone! I have just started hearing about the Topaz plug ins, but I didn't know they were compatible with PSP - I will be looking into those asap. I have been told that the actions and presets made for the photoshop programs don't work for PSP, but if they do, then I would have no reason to switch as I am very happy with all the other features of PSP and have a decent grasp on how to use it. I would love an expert opinion on PSP and what it really can and cannot do, so I will message dpullam. Thanks again for everyone's input!

Amateur photographer here, so take what I say with a grain of salt. :)

I've used both. There are some features I love in the cheaper Corel PSP X4 then in Photoshop, like light temperature adjustments and editable effect layers. I use Photoshop for other things than photos, like coloring lineart.

Also, most Photoshop plugins will have little or no trouble running in Corel. Topaz provides a trial, if you're curious. :)
