Jim Peters, great photographs, you are an inspiration.
Why is it that some people just don't get it .
The ultimate goal for a photograher is to try and produce the best picture they can with the subject they are shooting be it landscape , nature or humans .
Some people think it is the best job in the world shooting pictures of models if only they knew just how much work has to go into it.
All I can say is your work is tasteful and glamourous to say the least and if it's ok with you I shall use your work as my inspiration to excel with my photographs

Jer, Yes I do portrait photography now and I have three different release forms I use. When setting up with a client before the shoot we all sit down to discuss just what kind of shots are being requested , this may take several meetings .
If either the subject or their partner are not feeling at ease then the shoot will not go ahead , sometimes it's not the subject who feels uneasy it's the partner and they must be taken into consideration as well.
I also have a few past clients who have given their consent to be contacted with reference to being photographed for reassurance.
Here in the UK the rules maybe some what different ,
For example when shooting childrens portraits you have to be so careful likewise if shooting on location and children are involved you have to ask permission before the shot.
Whilst in Dallas I was shooting inside Billy Bob's and asked the mother of a very young child dressed in her queen of the rodeo outfit if she was ok with me taken photo's as the child may or not be seen in the pictures the mother seemed a little bewildered as to why I asked until I explained the rules in UK

( I just think women would be better doing this type of photography with the rules already mentioned. )

Over here that could be termed as sexual discrimination.
Any photographer worth their weight should be concentrating on the best shot they can muster not the subject of the shot so to speak .
Should it be only males who photograph football games etc , I think not. The love of photography is first and foremost. if someone is only interested in scanterly clad subjects in that manner then they can buy plenty of magazines of that nature there's enough of them out there .

I myself have already had comments from wive's and girlfriends saying I never thought I could look like that, husbands and boyfriends are always present and I never presume.

All subjects are fully aware of the type of photography since up to now it's been at their request but thyink I got it a bit wrong with the description of Boudoir more of a lady just wanting some photographs done in a different light .
My rules always apply :-
1 . Partner of the client / Friend must be present
2 . My wife is always present
3 . No nude shots unless client requests but they must be tasteful.
4 . No close up sexual shots ( Not what it's all about )

At the moment the lady in the pictures is my wife as I have not asked for permission to publish any others yet and will not until I have done so

Totally agree you seem to have hit it on the head, I do have rules when shooting these ladies :-
1 . if they have a partner I insist that they are present , if not then a close friend .
2 . My wife is always present .
3 . We discuss just what sort of shots they are thinking of.
4 . I inform them that I never do nude shots unless they are tastful and only at their request.
5 . I never do close up shots of a sexual nature .

I want the pictures to make them proud of what they already are in a beautiful way , I don't really want to make the lady to appear as something far from what she would normally be .

I wouldn't want a partner to look at the picture and think who the hell is that I would rather the partner seen the picture and could turn around and say " I told you you were sexy , thats how I see you everyday "

Cheers Trina

Thank you Trina for your response what I have been asked in the way of photographs so far is housewives that wish to show just something of their naughty side without being classified as ( porn dare I say ) ( which I will not photograph even though I have been asked on several occassions ) . It's not for me naughty and slightly erotic is as far as it goes .

I thank you for your words Mooseeyes thats why I asked maybe Boudoir is not the word I should have used, what some are looking for over here is something between what I was thinking as Boudoir without being too erotic so to speak
