Well, I bought a new 21.5 iMac to replace the old one with Mavericks and a corrupted iPhoto. Being a very old man I asked a technician to migrate the old to the new and to make sure iPhoto was good. He did it. I can't say anything more, all I know is iPhoto works just fine.
I have Yosemite and use iPhoto comfortably. No problems encountered.
Yeah, they were longer in those days:).
Nicely said and very true.

A photographer also understands this very well:
"I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be what
it may, -- light, shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful."
- John Constable, painter (11 Jun 1776-1837)
The 6D also has a built in GPS. Same story about battery usage.
I used to dng the CR2, then I found a lazy man's way. After inserting my memory card I see CR2 and below JPG (I generally shoot in both). I then double click the CR2 and in a few seconds it opens in PSE 10 in Raw. After a bit of pp it can open as usual as a JPG.
You're right jadeast, unfortunately, being a really old guy it's difficult for me to get into a position that best suits the situation. I was actually simply sitting on a bench to help with camera shake (even though I have IS) facing the water of Juan de Fuca Strait.
Great! Good idea scootersurfs, I'll remember that.
Thank you scootersurfs. The surf is what I wanted to get! Not too well done. Perhaps a zoomed in shot would be better.
Thanks photoninja1. Perhaps that could bring out more the quality of the water that I wanted to get. Trouble is neither the surf nor objects or creatures cooperate.
My first post. Lots here to criticize, but would appreciate all criticism for improving the photo without retaking it :).
