Ah now I get it, I wasn't scrolling down to the quick reply....
Yes happy to meet up in August and share local knowledge if needed. Fortunately I don't have to work, so I'm not too bothered, I will see if anything I fancy becomes available. Last worked a seasonal job at Lovh Lomond Golf Club but they didn't want me this year. I think I spoiled it as I said I would only do one more year as it was very physically demanding, getting too old now.

I'm putting this pic up, not because of my photographic prowess but because I love it and want to share it with you. It's my dog Barney who is the subject of many a photo, so for all you doglovers.....

Hi everyone, I have been a member for a few months but not had much time to contribute. I'm now 'unemployed' so looking forward to spending more time with my camera. This forum is just what I'm looking for.

Hi I have just ordered an Olympus OM d camera. I also ordered a Zuiko 75-300 lens F4.8 - 6.7 which is not cheap. It has arrived (haven't got the camera yet) and I'm comparing it to my existing Tamron 28-300mm lens, F3.5 - 6.3.
I was under the impression that the zuiko lens would be quite a bit smaller but its not really and obviously not starting at 28mm it will have less use. So does anyone have an opinion on whether I should keep the Tamron and get a four thirds converter or do you think the zuiko lens is superior? Help??
