It's an okay camera, never was able to do decent night photography. Time to upgrade for me big time.
In August I had the privilege of sport fishing at Kodiak. We were fishing in a lagoon on a beautiful sunny and warm afternoon, the scenery is incredibly immaculate, enjoy!
I was moving one of our fishing vessels from the Aleutian Chain to Kodiak, and enjoyed this sunrise just south of Kodiak Island in the Pacific Ocean, enjoy!
Thank you everyone, this really was a chance shot on my part, but took the one photo anyways. I had just setup my tripod and took several photos of the Eagle, when it took off towards me. I thought it would be blurred till I saw it on my computer, totally caught me by surprise! It all worked out! :-)
I came here to Atka, Alaska to do some much needed maintenance on one of our commercial fishing boats. I saw a lot of Bald Eagles flying around, and knew I wanted to get some photos of a few after work in the evening. So on the evening of the 21st of July I stepped out the door of my living quarters and saw this Bald Eagle, and setup my camera outside the door. Just after setting up my camera I caught the bird taking off from it's perch about 200' away from me, enjoy the photo!
I like the way the boat turned out, impressive! Nice set for your night photography. Night photography is a measure to achieve, and love it when it turns out!
Beautiful shots of the B-17, they sound awesome in flight. Thanks for sharing them! :-)
Beautiful, and dramatically impressive! I love it when a plan comes togrther in such Grand form! :-)
Hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday! :-)

Very nicely composed photos, like #1 must be the Snowbirds performing at the air show. :-)
Thanks Angler, and Bigmac, they really are quick little birds...blink and they are gone. Ha!
It was a challenge to get this photo, as many others just did not turn out. ISO 320 f2.8 1/1500 sec. It was nice to capture the moment, enjoy. :-)

Oh okay, I see your point of view, I picked this camera up at Best Buy also a few weeks ago. I would think that a discontinued camera would be on a big sale if that was the case, and advertised as such.
I'm pretty impressed with this little camera, not only is it feature loaded, some manual functions are available. Fast on focus and shutter too. I used a tripod and the 2 second delay to get the moon shot, with the lens set only on the optical zoom section....still amazed with the auto focus locking on the moon...Ha! :-)
