I remember the grip brought out by an American company for the Leica M6- I bought one of the first, Which I ordered from a dealer in the US. I still have it, and I still feel what a beautiful bit of gear it was, and still is !
I have the Nikon 300mm F4 lens; believe me, it is good. When I am out with it, I am constantly stopped by other people asking me about it ! You can carry it, or use a tripod- it is easy to use
That is a really good selection !
I have a mint Hasselblad with two lenses; I would say they are equally as good as the Leica equivalents; I sold my
Leica some time ago
Climbing up a mountain in Wales-Was with a Leica M6 to take a series of photos of the sunrise on the slopes; gaily took a roll of 50 ASA, got back down again, and found that the film hadn't advanced correctly; took a long time to live that one down with Leica !
I had a Contax G2; one of the best cameras I ever had. I still have a Contax AX , very complicated camera; I took it in for a service, and the technician loved it ! Keep these cameras in good conditions- they will last for ever
I keep an 16mm on my Fuji X-Pro 2 all the time; for one thing it is a superb lens, and I have always liked a wide angle, it is amazing what you can do with it. On my fuji X-E2 I have an 18-55 fitted all the time- same reasons !
I still have the A77 mk 1. I still use it occasionally, with the 500mm Sony AF lens. For bird photography, it is spot on, but I always mount the combination on a tripod. I understand that the A77 mk2 was very much better, but I never managed to find one !
I use A Fuji 100 T; Fuji X Pro 1 & 2, and an Fuji XE-2. They are all excellent, with first rate lenses. I also had a Fuji medium Format film camera mainly used for Landscapes.you cannot beat them for colour rendition, reasonable weight, and lenses. Plus that, Fuji as a company are first rate to deal with !
I have a D3, and use it more than my 5D 11. I can only state that I use it for birds, animals and landscapes; it performs exactly as it was stated to do. It is particularly good for low light scenes, and believe me 12MP is plenty good enough !
In a word, it is unbeatable !
I had the opportunity to try a D3 which was surplus to requirements by a pro; it was his backup camera;
in actual fact it had less than 20,000 shots on it; I bought it, and have been amazed at the quality of work it produces- it might be only 12 mp, but it was /is the best machine I ever bought !
Your shutter speed is too low !
