Very cool!! And what made you think to try this? I would have never tried this. and I see the colors on CD's all the time and think, pretty.:) Well done! erv
I was on another forum and a lady had attempted it, but not with a macro lens, she shot from far away and captured multiple water droplettes, I then thaught- "closer" should give more vibrant colors, no flash and i used a CIR-PL filter for contrast enhancement and my new macro lens! voila!! Im glad you like them!
This dear friend of mine, past away last year. This was taken three years ago while I was helping him with the winter wood. He lived completely off the grid, in the woods with his 30 plus cats and loved life!
cindy what a powerful photo this is especially in the black and white pg 11
I agree, I do have it in color, but it does not give the same effect! I'll attach to show you the original

That was one thing about Ed, he always had a story about back in the day, how life was much more simple! Im sure he is telling more where he is now!!
Another wonderful day in UHH land. I am so glad I stumbled across this sight and am sooooo enjoying "meeting" everybody. So many heartfelt stories today, without our friends and loved ones what is the reason we are here? I love the reading that talks about friends coming into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. However long they stay we should appreciate them and love them while we have them with us. After losing a brother last Dec. I will always regret all the time I didn't get to spend with him when I had the chance. So thanks to all you UHH friends--just for being here now--whether it turns into a season or a lifetime we will travel that road together with our cameras in our hands.

I Always remember everyday to cherish all my dear friends around me, even all our little quirks, which make us unique. I think that is part of the reason why I love capturing people, so they can always be remembered the way they are and were!
These were taken on a recent trip to paris. the first image does not conform strictly to the rule of thirds but I [prefer it ( like the sky and clouds as a couterpoint to the water). the second does conform to the rules but in my opinion doesn't have the same impact. Comments and criticism welcomed.
I perfer #1, just gives the eye more to look at deep into the pic, nice capture!
Welcome. Sounds like maybe we could learn from you.
I think we can all learn from each other. Im self taught, so I just try to do my best with what i know at the time, and when I come to the situation where I am unsure of how to accomplish something, I take an online course or chat with friends on wonderful forums like this!! Love Free online courses!! looking forward to some assistance and tips in progressing my work!!
