General photography and a little portrait work.
Thank you all for your feedback.
Looking for information/recommendation on what brand flash/speedlite anyone is using on the Nikon Z50.
I am purchasing a D500. Undecided on which lens to purchase . Anyone have used both? Any advice appreciated.
I am considering either the Sigma 18-300 or Tamron 16-300 for my Nikon D7200. Many reviews consider the Tamron to be superior because of better image stabilization and auto focus systems. The Sigma has better image quality. I am more interested in real life use of the two lenses. Any advice would be appreciated.
Full frame cameras are recommended for shooting portraits but does anyone use a crop frame (APS-C) for portraits and can you recommend a lens. I use Nikon equipment.
Results you indicated from DXO are for the non OS versions of both lenses on a D300. If you look at the results of the OS versions on a D7100 the 50-150 OS appears to be much sharper.
I will be using it on a Nikon D7100. Reviews indicate it is much sharper than the Sigma 70-200 OS.
Has anyone any experience with this lens? I am considering buying one to use with my D7100 instead of a 70-200.
The link that was posted went to one particular stand. I already tried what you suggested and couldn't find it. Thanks anyway for your help.
In the past couple of weeks there was a post about printing images from a laptop. In response someone posted a link to I believe B & H Photo where you could purchase a stand which keeps the laptop at the correct angle for viewing/editing photos. I accidently deleted the link. Does anyone remember the post and if you have the link can you send it again? Thanks...much appreciated.
It only reads accurately in the 1.3x mode. Take it out of the 1.3x mode and it won't read it. Your 80-200 shot at 200 will indicate 200 mm not 300mm as it should.
Finally, today after repeated inquires I received an answer from Nikon. They claim that because of the upgrades to the D7100 vs. the D7000, Photoshop Elements 11 and Picasa ( and most likely other software) with not indicate 35 mm focus lengths. They suggested I use Nikon View NX or Capture which is compatible. Not the answer I needed to here but hopefully they will come up with a firmware fix down the road.
I'm glad someone understands what I am saying.
Thank you.
I contacted Nikon several days ago and they asked what kind of editing software I was using. I replied and am still waiting for them to get back to me.
