The purpose of posting this cat photo is not to rival in any way the magnificent cat images of some of my colleagues on UHH but to illustrate the following story.
Several years ago Sandra, my soulmate and companion, was having tea in the yard of her rural home when a tiny kitten toddled out of the bush. Obviously some goon had dropped off this little tyke on the country road. Bad people do that.
Sandra literally had to teach this little one to eat. She also named her SUDI, after a close family friend.
That was 12 years ago.

Sudi quickly grew into a friendly, affectionate companion. She is also a top notch hunter of mice and small pests.
She vocalizes with us constantly and climbs up in my chair to tap me on the arm to be patted or have her neck rubbed.
She has a sense of humor, galloping around the cottage after using her litter box -- her way of telling us she feels good.
She is a bit cautious with visitors but soon makes up to them if they are quiet and gentle.
The three of us live on the edge of a fresh water lake.
Sudi no longer spends time alone outside. We prefer not to have her imperilled by Fishers or feral cats.
So -- meet Sudi

This is Superstition Mountain, fabled haunt of Jacob Walz, of the Lost Dutchman Mine fame. Quite a few have tried to find the Dutchmans treasure but so far no one has found it although several have died trying. A lot of myth and mystery surrounds this area. I thought this day looked particularly mysterious and hauntingly beautiful. Hope you agree but please feel free to criticize or disagree if so inclined.

Stunning photo, very nice work!
