Thank you, firtree and Waltchilds. I did crop some of the birdhouse out, very little, though. The only reason I cropped that little bit out was because there was a terrible glare from the sun on it. I felt it was a distraction from the birds.

The bluebirds are back this year. Here's my attempt at them feeding the babies. I'm using the canon 70d with 75-300mm lens. My settings are f/7.1
expo 1/2000 ISO 1250. Hand held

Any thoughts on what I could've done differently? Thanks in advance for any suggestions :-) I'm still learning

Nice shot with the head and flower! Any selections or masking or is it a straight '2 on 1" layering...making layer transparent or what?

George those pictures were both done in camera. The canon 70D allows you to use up to 9 shots. I've been sticking with the 2 till I know what I am doing. :)

First off, you'll get better results and will be a lot easier to make your double exposures IF you have a dark or black background. Second, keep in mind that your individual multiple exposures must add up to 'proper exposure,' especially where the images actually overlap. Another, shoot a LOT of images, expect a high rate of 'less than acceptable images.' Good luck & post more of your results.

I'm confused, everything I've read says to go with a light background, such as the sky....

This is the look I am trying to get...http://www.dylandsara.com/canon-5d-mark-iii-double-exposure-tutorial/

the picture with the model all flowers.

Thanks Heart, but I'm looking for help "in camera" not editing in photoshop or another program. My camera has the option for multiple exposure. Here's another attempt from today. If someone could just give me a little guidance, it would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks guys, yes my camera does have the multiple exposure feature I am using it, but had those other questions... I've seen a few tube videos but they didn't go into detail as of camera settings

Can someone please tell me how to take multiple exposure photos? Not in photoshop, in camera. I am using a Canon 70D. What I need help with is.... which pict. is the background, do I need to adjust the exposure on one of the picts, if so which one?
I've tried a few, but they didn't come out right.

The reason I want to do this, my twin granddaughter's 3rd birthday is coming up, I thought a multiple exposure of them with the birthday cake or balloons would make a nice "different" photo for the album I am making them.
Here's one I tried, I just picked something random, just to try it. That's the best one tho. Maybe I'm getting to impatient and should slow down. I've seen some on the web and they are amazing, I want to do that for the party. Ya slow down girl, please help :)

Thought I'd share pictures of "Zak" enjoying the snow. I took these pictures with my new lens, Canon 85mm f/1.8. My camera is a canon rebel T2i.

The photo is really cute, and it is possible to adjust the way it looks in post. If you don't have the software or if you want help doing it, just re-post as a downloadable file, and ask for help. I'd be glad to adjust it for you, as would many others.

Ok. I hope the file isn't to big. This is unedited. Thank you for helping me!!!!

You can always shoot RAW and change the white balance after the shoot. Easy and fast!

I don't know how to edit in raw. I have ps cs5.1, I have tried taking photos in raw, but then I'm totally confused as to how to adjust anything. Help???

I was taking pictures of a friends baby. The pictures would be great if not for the orange tinge to them. They were taken indoors, the lighting was well crappy. I did try using different WB settings, eventually settling on Auto. I haven't tried using custom WB. I have been reading "How To"s. I've read about using the gray card/board or a white card. I stumbled upon a site that suggest using the " ExpoDisc 2.0 White Balance Filter" Has anyone used this filter? If so is it any better than just using the gray card method?????
I am shooting a canon rebel t2i at the moment.
