Love the photos! I had the privilege of visiting in May 2015 but it was on a day trip from San Francisco. Not much time to explore before we had to turn around and go back again. I wish we could have stayed the night and explored some the walks and waterfalls.
Good shots Earl. They lived around us as well. They are 'foreign' invaders not native to W.A.
Thanks Weberwest! We are heading up for the wildflowers in the caravan in a week, starting at Geraldton (on business) and then off to Mullewa etc. Can't wait!
Unlikely to see them anywhere else as they are localised in where they grow.
Went for a bush walk this afternoon as the sun came out. The very first of the local wildflowers are just starting to open.
The first two are orchids.
No 3 is a minute ground cover.
No 4 is a prickly wattle.
And we've had the wettest winter ever which was sorely needed. Still hoping for more rain but come October it's all over until May next year.
These photos have "blown me away"! I am awed at the beautiful flowers. I have been moved to tears! I do love this sort of scenery, so different to what we have in Australia. Mountains are scarce in this country. However wildflowers are prolific and they are starting now. We are heading off in the caravan in a week or so to take the wildflowers growing in the wilderness. I'll be looking for orchids. Plenty around when you know where to look. We also have mass landscapes of pink and yellow everlastings. Stand by for posting of these in a few weeks when we get home!!
Thanks Earl. Been enjoying your photos as well😀
It is such a lovely time of year. Winter is almost over and the first hints of spring are appearing everywhere.
I really love them. I can visit America (and the world) without leaving my home, which is why I enjoy the Hog so much.
