Thanks Janice ........ Sorry used a Nikon D7000 and did use a Tripod. The 150 -500mm is heavy, but I didnt use any filters

I have just been to a local nearby Dam and taken the following.........How is it that I do not get crystal pictures like every one else ? Used a 150 -500mm HSM, 18 - 105mm and 18 - 270mm lenses.

Thanks guys for your info ....Firstly "cutting things off" is not my doing as the objects just would not keep still.
And Secondly only had the D7000 2 weeks and I only now know how to switch it on....Seriously though thanks allot I really think I must go and get some tuition.
