I forget too...I'm 52...and yes, I am keeping track. Now if I can just remember where I put the notes, I'll be doing good. :)

Towards the top of this page, on the left hand side, above "Author" is "Bookmark" you can bookmark this topic, and if you need to read it again at a later date, you can go to your "Watched Topics" (at the top of the page, in the middle) and read it again :-) I use it all of the time, it's great !!! Ps.... I.am older than you 8-)

[quote=jerryc41]You're asking a lot of good questions and getting a lot of good answers. I hope you're taking notes. That's what I do because two weeks later, it's all a blur again.

Brian's books are very good, but sometimes he over-explains things and makes them seem more complicated than they are.[/quote

I also forget easily, (I think it's my age, LOL) so I bookmark, and keep it for future reference.

The 70-200 L 2.8 is. Hands down the best lens I've got. Thought long and hard before plunking down the 2k, but it is amazing. Put up with the extra weight (if you're able-bodied), you get used to it.

I was convinced after asking the same question on this site and reading many reviews on B&H.

I have one also, and you are right, you do get used to the weight. I don't think about it once I get started :-)

Bob, welcome to UHH. There a lot of good people with good information on this site.... As for being a cop, I have the highest respect for law enforcement, as I come from a family of them. Thank-you for your service, and I hope you get the information you need from UHH.

Yesterday I asked for help on hard drive information. I was given a lot of good info. It made me wonder, if I transfer my photos from my computer to a external hard drive, does the quality of the photo deteriorate each time its moved ?

Each time you move a file a little piece stays behind to let the other files know where you sent the rest in case they ask. To be technical, it all comes down to the rotation of the Moon against the Earth's gravity where... (Darn cheesecake overload...) No, you are fine and of course we recommend you store your photos in more than one place and electronics do sometimes fail and we wouldn't want you to loose yours so move away![/quote

How about if you copy & paste ? Will the copy deteriorate ?
