Great shot! Is the setting Okanagan or some more virginal area?

Thanks ... Dick McCartney.

Hope I'm not too late, here. Sony 400X, for sure. I have a 300, and it is marvelous little camera. It has the best stability system I have ever used, which is a Godsend for your purposes.

Buy a monopod and a pistol-grip head:

Sirui P-324S Carbon Fiber Photo/Video Monopod

They are both beautifully made and function perfectly. They're also a fine walking stick if you unscrew the head.

Get a Sony HX300 and you're ready for anything. Lovely images and no lens changing.

Got one and love it. IMHO, the feet most definitely add lots of stability at almost no cost in weight; in addition, you can use them in places that forbid tripods.

Sorry for the late posting; I've been away. I too use the Canon medium format printers, both the 9500 Mk II and Pixma Pro 1 (couldn't resist it at the price: printer and 50 sheets of very nice 13x19 paper for $100 equals FREE!) . Both are utterly reliable (as opposed to the equivalent Epson models) and print beautiful images, but I'm beginning to understand why they offered the deal: you have to use Canon ink, and it's pricey as hell! I see that Amazon is selling a refill kit, but without instructions. I tried that route before on Epson cartridges and it was quite messy, so i'm hoping a UHHer has done it on the ones by Canon with better results. The item is 'ND® 8 x 100ml Ink Refill Kit for Canon CLI-42 PIXMA PRO-100 + Refill Syringes'. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have some images that might look good on it, but have questions -- particularly about wrapping vs mounting vs framing. I'll appreciate your comments.

I'm probably too late to be useful here, but I think the fella that said Sony HX300 has it right. Here's a MAJOR reason, by your criteria: it has, I'm sure, the best Optical Stabilizer on the market, which will prove invaluable for your low light photos. I think they claim 4 stops improvement at slow shutter speeds.

Usually I'm a 'Pop' man, Spikes, but your lovely soft tones and textures here invite long tranquil contemplation. Congrats!
