The night-blooming Cereus hildmannianus. This awesome cactus blooms for us just once a year and not every year either, the bloom opens late at night closes by morning and does not open again. The bloom then starts to wilt and die it falls off within the next few days. I had this cactus for years and it never bloomed for me. I cut off a piece and gave it to my Dad's girlfriend Brenda and she gets it to bloom almost every year. Some people have such a green thumb and I'm not one of them. Brenda is the type that could bury a wine bottle and out would grow a vineyard.

Hope you enjoy

The night-blooming Cereus hildmannianus. This awes... (show quote)

You may not be able to grow flowers but you certainly can capture their beauty in an amazing way. The second pic is beyond gorgous, well done!

Your spider is in the family Agelenopsis I am not sure the exact subspecies, more info would be needed. It is a type of Grass Spider also known as a Funnel Web Spider, not like the Australian Funnel Web Spider yours is far less venomous.

Nice photos!
