For Christmas I received a Nikon 14-24 aspherical and a 24-70 aspherical lenses. Has anybody used these and found them useful. I'm thinking of sending them back.
Wow! I've been trying to get them every day for the past 2 weeks. I can't seem to get them as sharp as yours. Did you use aperture priority or shutter?
What is a constant aperture?
I Just bought a Tamron 18-270 3.5-6.3mm. I really like it for an overall lense. I even got good images at slower shutter speeds without using a tripod. I have a Nikon D7000 and lots of lenses. I have a feeling that when I travel this will be the lense I take.
To: Prairie Seasons,
Actually, that is not that unusual or an indication of intelligence. I am 66 and still have trouble with left and right and, therefore, clockwise and counter-clockwise. I think it's genetic because 2 of my girls also have that problem.

Thank you everybody for explaining it. That helps. I have Photoshop Elements 10 and, for now, I think that's all I need.
Does Lightroom do everything that Photoshop 10 does? What is the difference between them?
Thanks. I'm finally reading the manual and just read about using AF-S rather than AF-C. Wow, there's an awful lot to learn if you want to do more than just "auto"
I used a Nikon D7000, 1/200, F5.6, ISO 100 at 55mm. The only thing that I can think of is I used burst speed and maybe he was moving between the shots. I doubt I could duplicate it again.
Thanks for the comment
When you say contrast do you mean in color? Also, do you mean that you move where you are standing or side to side and up and down before you take the shot?
I have a Nikon D7000 and the lens is a Nikon AF-SVR 70-300mm f4.5-5.7.
Spent 10 days in Argentina. Had a terrific guide and managed to get a few photos that turned out okay.
Baby 'jama' also known as llama
Not sure what settings I used to get this
A cold stream
The autofocusing on my Nikon D7000 goes in and out when I use my 70-300mm at 300mm. I am thinking about purchasing the 80-400mm lens for wildlife in Africa but I'm worried that it won't focus.
When I use my 300mm lens the autofocusing has trouble focusing. It goes in and out and won't focus unless I drop down my focal length. What am I doing wrong. We are going to Africa and I'm thinking about buying a 80 - 400mm lens but I am worried that I will have even more trouble with autofocus.
