hello from northern Wyoming! I was born in Binghamton and spent the majority of my summers until 21 on our summer home (farm) in Choconut, right across the border. Five or six years ago my wife and I spent a few days at a bed and breakfast across the road from the Choconut Valley Inn, which I'm sure you know about. I have many fond memories of the area.
Welcome to the Hog.
If it snows, it blows up here in northern Wyoming (Sheridan). This is a nice shot and could be from my front porch. Oh well, summer is coming someday.
Went to high school in Albany(1951). It was the Milne School, part of the Albany State Teachers College on Western Avenue. Not there anymore.
We had the same problem and solved it by avoiding sunflower or safflower seeds in the feeder, and in another feeder adding thistle seed only (which will attract finches). We have had no blackbirds since.
I have an A7 (had it for the last year and a half) and I wouldn't part with it for anything. It has all of the functions (and more) that I need and want. I have been involved with photography most of my 81 years and have owned more cameras than I care to count and the A 7 will be the last one.
Amen!!! Only shallow thinkers would blame an inanimate object instead of the people who use it.
Not here in northern Wyoming yet, but we are waiting after all the snow. They are the first harbingers of spring. Nice photos.
May she rest in peace and light perpetual shine upon her.
The city of Buffalo was packed with people from all over the nation. Really something for a town of less than 5000.
For all you fans of Longmire, here's a collage of photos I took at the Longmire Days Festival in Buffalo, Wyoming, which was renamed "Durrant" for the occasion. For those who don't know, Longmire is a TV series about a sheriff of that name, created by Craig Johnson, who lives in the Buffalo area and his books are written in that locale.
Longmire Days
This is a "Boston bag" and not necessarily a "doctors bag". They were very popular traveling items, and still are, which you will find if you Google "Boston bag". There are numerous references (and sale ads) for Boston bags on the Internet.
His mischief is either yowling at 3 o'clock in the morning or attempting to wash the faces of our two Great Danes, much to their distaste.
Yes, he's okay. Only half awake.
