It's beautiful. I'd like to see it framed in a colored frame that matches the Flamingo....I think.

That's a very nice picture. I'm looking at all of them on this site right now and wanted to comment on this one.

Okay good advice. The class I took said use red or green filters when trying to take monocrome photos so I did. Yes they did look gray. I'll try again. Thanks!

Hi Patty
Have a look at this site for a great explanation and sample pictures using colour filters in B & W.

One can always try taking a photo without and with a filter and compare the results to see which looks better.

Well, thank you again! Now I see what filters do and understand better than I did.

I bought a red filter for black and white pictures. Took several two look okay. I'll try the green filter tomorrow. I was driving down Riverside Drive in Melbourne Beach, Fl. and have always wanted to take a picture of all the crooked docks that have not been repaired since Hurricane's Francis and Jean in 2004.

No I didn't review it! I was showing a riverfront home and when I saw all the bees in the Magnolia Tree I ran to my car, put on the macro lens and told my client to go inside and look at the house! I had a picture to take!

Hey Thanks! That a Magnolia! When that little bee started rolling around in the pollen I hurry up and switched to movie and I guess with a macro lens on you can't just do that spontaneously because the movie was all yellow and overexposed? I would've had a great movie for youtube because that bee rolled on it's back and wiggled around in the pollen just like my dog rolls around in the grass...it was so neat and I blew it!

Just bought a Canon eos Rebel T3i and two nice Tamron lenses. I love the macro lens but wish I had gotten the 100 mm 2.8 instead. I think......Looking forward to sharing
photos and lessons. I'll be 65 tomorrow but I'm still working full time at my Real estate office in Melbourne Beach, Florida but I aways have my camera with me.

Taken with an old digital across the steet from my home.
