When I got my camera, I was afraid to shoot "in green" meaning automatic because if I did that, I know I would never use manual mode again, and therefore, have a VERY expensive point and shoot camera. Manual mode is when you get to pick what shutter speed, and apeture to use. You chose how much light goes into your camera. I use manual mode alot so pictures in day light aren't "blown out". Too bright, or too dark. It is good to learn everything you can about your camera.

Fire in the Sky. That is what it reminds me of. (Not the movie!) I love the cloud texture, as well as the reflection in the water. The shadow contrast is captured well. This is something I would blow up and hang in my living room! Well done!

I LOVE Abstract photography. I am always looking for new and creative ways to do abstract photos. Does anyone know of any good abstract photos they can post? I would especially love to see photos which has little to no Photo shop used! Yes, I promise you that it is possible. I would be interesting to see what people come up with. Have fun!!!

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

I am a morning person...coffee free. I am up ready to go before the sun! If I sleep in past 8 a.m. I feel like half my day is gone already. I live in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains, and love going up there to watch the sunrise every chance I get. To me, it's my own personal time with God.

I do what I can to look on the positive side of everything. I am a very outgoing person. I take pride in doing my best for me, as well as for others and I try my best to make other people happy. I am still learning that you can not please, and make everyone happy. I haven't learned to stop trying yet.

I have a great career in the medical field as a Certified Phlebotomist. I am currently going back to school to get my Certificate in Photography.

I joined to learn as much as I can about the photography world!

What you see is what you get. This 1.5 second shot took almost 6 hours to perfect. You would not believe how hard it is to set ice on fire!!! Without a touch of photoshop!!! This was BEFORE my photoshop days, therefore, I do not have to tell you that I am not a professional photographer. This was something I did just as a learning experience. The hard work paid off, and I had a lot of fun doing this. Enjoy!!!
