She was over the moon that i got all the action and i was speaking to her team manager the other day in france and they told me they where able to take the pictures and determine what went wrong and help set up the bike better for the isle of man TT race next week. Hopefully making sure that the same mistake doesn't happen again. So i am please with that. I guess we where both luck. :D
I sure did, i emailed them to her a few days after i took them. I know, i am too kind, but i was just glad to get the pictures. She was over the moon that someone caught the moment she went down.
I thought i would post this picture of Mark Buckley who died on saturday whilst racing in one of the Super Stock races. I caught this image of Mark as he passed us at Church Corner, on the warm up lap. Sadly he never passed again, he crashed and died in hospital due to his injuries.
RIP Mark Buckley.

I guess its all about being in the right place at the right time. I guess i got lucky, The pictures aren't great because i was i shock at what was happening in front of me, and the fact that everyone beside me was running out of the way. But me being me, i just kept shooting. Have a look. Female Rider Ornella Ongaro, crashes right in front of me. Glad to say, she was uninjuried and walked away from this.
Here john, thought you might like this picture of me and Martin Jessop, who was the fastest rider around the circut this week at 208mph. i am not trying to make you jealous or anything but hopefully i am in for some days racing. If you ever get the chance to get over here to the NW200 get over you will have a blast. chat to you soon and keep an eye out for my next posts, i will for deffs be cheering on Guy Martin and hopefully i will get the shots. :-D
Cheers mate. i will for deffs try what you have suggested. oh and i am greatful for the advice, thanks for all your help. I am really looking forward to race day tomorrow, and hopefully i will get some great shots, i am going to try and get in the same location i was in yesterday, and i will try and post up my results over the weekend. I love Guy Martin, he is a character, and some rider. i will try and get you some shots of him flying to it. Once again thanks for the help.

Cheers glojo, i am planning on getting down tomorrow morning first thing as it is race day, i have found a better location for myself and plan on trying what you have said in order to get some blurred images so as to show the speed. Have you any suggestions what shutter speed to go for or ISO or exposure in order to help me get that sort of picture, or is it just a case of panning the camera while the bikes/riders are passing me by. Advice would be good please. as i am new to the camera setting as i am use to just setting the camera to auto and shotting. Thanks for the help.
Great shots, love them. Looks like it was an action packed game. keep sharing the game pictures, i wish we had baseball here.
The North West 200 is a motorcycle road race in the North Of Ireland, so i decided to take my passion for bikes and take some pictures and see what i could capture. I think i did alright. Have a lot to learn on the modes and settings on the camera but i think i caught some good enough images.

Hi everyone, i took my canon EOS 1000d to the North West 200 motorcycle road race practice session yesterday and after getting some great advice from some of the HOG members i decided to try and take some pictures. Now just to let everyone know i bought the camera 3 years ago and i have never tried to learn anything about the settings or modes or anything, so i decided to start learning. I was very happy with the images that i was able to get although i know i have a lot to learn. Have a look at the pictures and tell me what i am doing wrong and what to try before race day tomorrow night and all day saturday. Thanks for the help. I post these ones that i liked myself.

Cheers fot that, I am heading down first thing tomorrow morning, I will for deffs try them setting out. As you say the weather looks shit, I just suppose it might slow them down a bit and let us get some good shots. Enjoy the racing, and same to you HAPPY SHOOTING.
Thanks for the advice Bridges, thats just what i will do. Just hope i can get into the right posistion for some great shots. i will keep you all posted on how i get on and post some pictures as soon as i get the chance. I posted these few shots from a few months ago, i was trying out some shots on different settings and modes on the camera, but i feel i can get a lot more out of myself and the camera. so i will try harder and look for a better place to shoot from. Thanks for all the help.
