The GEX500 is an older model the newer one is theGX5 that seems to have more manual controls. The customer reviews are good. I've had several slr film cameras and understand manual settings.I'm a senior and in my past life I worked for a commercial photographer doing his black&white darkroom work and his copy work with his studiocameras. Right now its more about price I'm on a very limited budget. Thanks again.
