I suggest you talk to Rikke Williams at go2africa.com. She does a great job working with your budget. She'll make suggestions you may not have considered, but ultimately make a lot of sense, e.g. on season/off season deals. She has put together two trips for my wife and me. The first trip was in 2008. We went to Capetown, and the wineland of Franschoek South Africa. We went on safari at Kruger National Park, while staying at a private reserve, Tinga, with its own elephant herd. Then, it was onto Zambia (Victoria Falls) and Zimbabwe. Our next trip, in 2018, reprised Franschoek, the Midlands (no safaris here), Rock Lodge at Phinda, all in S. Africa; the Okavanga Delta in Botswana, including Chobe National Park, where we've never seen larger herds and varieties of wildlife. We did a boat safari and watched the elephants and hipposfrolic in the water. Sounds crazy, but at Chobe, it looked like scene from The Lion King, as herd after herd marched along the entire hillside.
I'm sure you'll have a great trip. There are smiles, awe and amazement around every corner. Have a great trip.

Looks pretty nice. Are the camera and grip USA models, (i.e. non Gray Mkt)?

Thanks for posting this.

I taught with Dr. Alexander Mustard (listed in the article - one of the competition organizers and an amazing photographer) in the Cayman's. He did the photo part, I did the coral reef bio lecture, which is funny because he is Ph.D. Biologist and I was just a scuba instructor.

Imagine being that good of a photographer to produce the photos in the article. Now imagine, taking the photos, while flying weightless - and breathing through bulky life support equipment - and usually at night (makes for better control of your lighting) - in pitch black water. Fun, huh? (Actually it really is - especially when you're upside down in a current.)

Love those photos!!!!
Thanks for posting this. br br I taught with Dr.... (show quote)

Thanks for the backstory. They can be interesting, fun, and ironic in this case, as you inicate.

I don't think I have the original box as I bought it so long ago. I'm not sure about the manual, but I'll look. If not, the 2 books are good. The price doesn't include the battery as I use it in my other cameras, hence the low price. I'll pack it up and take it to the post office for weighing and the cost of the insurance, if you want it. Then I'll let you know the total price. Cashier's check is fine. Once I receive it, I'll send it to you. Where abouts do you live?

FYI: I just sent my D7100 to Nikon N.Y for Premium Service ($118 including shipping). Shipping USPS with $1000 insurance was just under $31.00 for 3-5 day shipping. The UPS Store wanted $10 more. Good luck selling it. I really like mine. $350 sounds like a great deal.

I've had great luck with the Vello grips for my Nikon D300 and D7100. I purchased both from B&H.
