Over the last few years, I've shot more photos with my smartphone than with my Nikon gear. Getting older and still wanting to take some hiking trips, I don't see that trend changing. Therefore, I hope there's a better home (hedgehog den?) for this quality gear.

I'll accept a personal check (ship after it clears) or Venmo. Prices below do not include shipping. UPS is the most convenient for me, but I can arrange for USPS, too. Tell me which you prefer and I'll pack up and inform you of the shipping cost. Will take $100 off the total if there's someone who'd like to purchase all four Nikon items.

1. D700. $450. 18,885 shutter actuations. Looks new and performs beautifully. This is a full frame workhorse. Plenty of reviews and specs online for the curious. I don't have all the contents of the original packaging, but I have the pieces that count, including the charger, OEM battery, strap and various cords to connect to other devices. Will ship with extras including: Sun-Sniper shoulder strap, D700 manual, wired shutter release, Apple adapter to download to newer phone or tablet (with the little, flat charging plug), two 4G memory cards and Sony card reader.

2. MB D10. $35. Extra power and grip. Battery insert (MS D10) requires 8 AA batteries. In good condition, with moderate scuffing in the expected places. No inserts for the Nikon OEM D700 batteries.

3. AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED. $770. Ships with B+W UV lens filter and new lens hood. Excellent condition.

4. AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G. $370. Ships with B+W circular polarizer and Promaster HGX UV filters. Excellent condition. Fast lens.

5. "Experienced" Domke bag. $50. Like new Burton backpack with velcro gear dividers. $50.

Thanks for having a look.

Selling my gently-used 24-70 with all original Nikon accessories and packaging. Front/rear lens cap always on when not in use. Please note that this is NOT the latest version of the lens that has vibration reduction. Though with the fast 2.8 speed, you may not need or notice that this isn't a VR lens.

Solidly built, this is one of Nikon's best and makes for a great "day long" lens when you're shooting scenes that aren't too far away. Pro / advanced amateur lens.

There is slight scuffing that you can see on the photo of the lens hood, and there's a hairline fracture extending for about 1.25 inches from the front edge at the scuff mark. With a new hood, you’d swear it was a new purchase...the actual lens is in impeccable condition

I will pack this up safely and securely and send to you either via USPS or UPS, whichever you prefer.

The cost is $1,100 US dollars plus the cost of shipping to your address. I will accept a personal check (ship after check clears), Venmo or CashApp. No PayPal.

I've sold several items on this forum over the years (thanks, everyone) and have had no complaints. I'm confident that you will be satisfied with the purchase.

Please let me know if you'd like additional information or have any questions. Will consider reasonable offers.

Thanks.

The 50mm is excellent, but I've had a change of heart and removed it from the list of gear I'm selling. Thanks, everyone, for having a look and to those few who bought some great gear.

I'll take the 28-105 Macro and the monopod. I don't suppose you have a PayPal account? PM me with further contact info.

Thanks, Richard

Thank you. I stand corrected. Goes to show how often I use that lens. A friend recently took a few shots on her camera (don't know which model) and she commented that it wasn't autofocus capable. I just assumed that was a blanket statement.

But...I just shot a couple pics on my D700 and it's working just fine.

Good afternoon. Attack of reverse G.A.S. and hoping to streamline my gear inventory. I shoot almost everything with my go-to 24-70; this gear could be put to better use by someone who's a more active photographer. All is in good to excellent condition, with all but the MDD10 showing no to very little (if even noticeable) wear. I will accept personal check or money order or CashApp and will ship however you'd like after payment clears. USPS and UPS are both convenient. Shipping cost (and insurance if you'd like) will be added to the item cost. Will consider a discount if anyone would like to buy the entire lot. Please PM me for details or if you'd like additional pics.

1. SOLD. AFS VR 70-200mm 2.8 with Promaster HGX UV filter.

2. SOLD. AF Nikkor 28-105 3.4-4.5 G

3. Nikon MBD10. For D700, D300, D300s. Slight wear near the dial, but otherwise perfect. For those with larger hands, this is a great way to increase the handling size of your D700/D300/s. Comes with AA battery adapter. Portrait orientation photos are a breeze with this battery pack. Original box. $50

4. SOLD. Nikon SB400 Flash.

5. Promaster carbon fiber tripod. C4229W. 57.5" when fully open/extended. Great condition. Rubber feet look brand new. $75

6. SOLD. Manfrotto monopod.

7. SOLD. Manfrotto ball/swivel head.

Hi Hoggers!

I'll be traveling the UK and a bit of Europe for a few weeks in August/September. The trip and various side journeys are booked, so I can't stray too much.

I'm looking for some practical shooting location advice / sightseeing tips for the following:

Lyndhurst/New Forest (England) I'll be here for 2 or 3 nights. Will have access to a car and knowledgable guides.

Galway (Ireland) Will be in Galway for 2 days/1 night. Is it worth the drive to the Cliffs of Moher? Is there something as good nearby? My cousin and I are fairly active and not afraid of a good hike for a stunning vista. Also, what's a good time in Galway at night? Good meals? Good pubs? Good music?

Chamonix/Mont Blanc (France) 3 days/nights here. I'm sure there are great scenes all around. Is there somewhere not to be missed? Also, dining and nightlife ideas?

Thank you very much in advance for any advice you can offer.

Greetings. Offering up my gently used Sigma for $875 (that includes shipping to continental US). Includes everything original in the box...what you see in the pic. Clean glass and no noise or focusing issues. Nary a blemish as I take pretty good care of my equipment.

The Sigma is fast and great for low light. Kids in sports? Playing indoors? This is must-have lens that won't break the bank. Optical stabilization (vibration reduction) works great. Makes those handheld shots at 200mm a breeze.

Great lens, just not using it enough to justify. Recently bought the Nikon 24-70 and finding that's the lens for what I like to shoot.

Will accept PayPal or a personal check (ship once it clears). If you're in Wisconsin, maybe we can meet up and save a little expense.

Hello. A friend is visiting DC this weekend and will be shooting family portraits (3-5 people with kids).

She is looking for location suggestions that offer some variety of features (benches, water, fences, trees, etc.) and where no fee is required. Small neighborhood parks might be an option, or some other not-too-urbany greenspace. Wants to avoid including any of the major landmarks.

Thanks in advance to all who can offer some specific advice.
