I am in no rush to format a card, and I make sure I have multiple copies of anything I think is important.

We have actually went to do another wedding and ran out of space on the card, reviewing, I missed reformatting the card and had the prior wedding on the card. We would swop in a new card at that point. I have since go to 32gig cards which can handle more than one wedding. I have multiple cameras for an event so one camera is not loaded up. This saved me when the card went full. Did not have to stop and swop till there was a lull, Just swung up my second camera.

I see everyone has trashed the source. But it is pretty factual what she did and what the FBI said about it. Too bad people walk around drinking Koolaid

I know I am not answering your question.

I download the pictures to my laptop. Once there I verify the pictures, real quick, Windows explorer, I click on the first and last and bring them up in PS. then I backup to my network drive. I DO NOT format the cards in camera until I do my next weeding, LONG after I have edited all the pictures.

I have a Lenovo W541. Great machine. i7, 32G, 1t SSD prime, 2TB secondary drive and I have 4g Raid and 2g flat network drive on a docking station with a Samsung 23'' Curve with a Dolby 5:1 Surround Sound. My wife wonders why I spend so much time in fron of my computer. My company is complaining I have CC on it even though I have proved I paid for it. They want a License # which Adobe does not supply in CC. I guess because it is subscription based. Anyway now I have to go looking for a laptop. Thanks for the link to B&H 'picker'.

The US flag is clearly present in picture number four. It is customary for the President's limo to fly the flag of the host country. When in Rome I saw yellow and white flag of Vatican City flying on Bush's car.

Interesting on the flag thing. I looked missed that.

I went to Kruger, A guy I was working with in Johannesburg said he goes and shoots with a 300. His pictures were really nice. I would start there. I had to travel light and only had my 24-70 on a D800. Although the Kruger trip was decided on while I was working at SARS in the city. 24-70 even with the D800 capacity, way not enough!!!! I did get some nice shots but........................

Enjoy, people were telling me 'oh!!! My bucket list" I was like really????? After coming back from the weekend trip I was going "REALLY !!!!!"

I grew up pretty poor, I looked around at a young age and said, this isn't for me, I did everything in my power to get myself up and out of all the things i was seeing around me. Now I am pretty happy of where i was and where I am now. Tried to push that into my kids. Today it's, "it ain't so bad here, just keep giving me money."
