But I did not think that that would happen in North Queensland maybe where it snows but! Have you all seen this before?
Just had a 9 days at Hamilton Island and took this photo out at the pontoon at the Great Barrier Reef. Never seen this before and these are straight out of the camera. I thought that it was rather spectacular.
Happy little man in my frog pond, eggs everywhere and been singing for three days now. Hope he is right

There is an old country song about a redback on the toilet seat - that was the reference there,

Very nice indeed !. Love the fly and the millipede. Check out some You-tube tutorials on focus stacking - I've just started a couple of days ago (reading and watching , that is..) and it's utterly fascinating.
yes I googled photo stacking and found a lot of info and videos on it and have a bit of reading material for the plane so at least the flight should go quick. Will add photos when I get back, hoping to find some interesting things while in a different area so..................

All nice, but the millepede is my favorite. I good candidate for focus stacking.
don't know how to photo stack yet but hoping to learn as I have seen some great results from that
I have a Nikon D90 with a Tamron SP 60-mm f/2 macro lens, so far on the kitchen table, with overhead light and camera's pop-up flash. I, have just bought an o-ring flash but haven't used it as yet, just arrived. Been reading your info Nikonian72, about set-up, and taking in everyone else's comments. I am enjoying this so much, and will continue to try to improve my photography.

After reading Scoutsman I'm sorry I brought it up. None of your cats look like they are at death's door.
My cats are inoculated, spayed. there is a cat door on the front of the house and the back, our street is a dead end street, and the only thing that has killed one of our cats was a 5ft king brown snake, they are inside more than out but have the opportunity to be a cat and not locked up or on a lead, when we go to bed there are 5 cats there with us and normally still there when we get up, and that is the reason we have a king size bed.
