pg 26 - How poignant....lovely shot.

A few lines and curves of mine - sure I have posted at least one before but ....they still fit the bill. All taken at RHS Rosemoor.

Your right left to right works for me. I do love all of your pictures.

When doing my Degree was taught how the eye see's with regard to lead in lines, and the eye has a tendency to look bottom left to top right

See what you think this work I have flipped and posted left to right and right to left

See which your eye finds natural and which not quite right and then think of this when composing your shot

I took these picture in the U.P., Michigan. I was at the Lower Tahquamenon Falls.

And the 3rd picture is from Traverse City Northern Michigan Asylum. It is closed down and they have turned it into housing and a small shopping area in one of the buildings basements. They are still working on some of the buildings there.

These are a couple of my smoke photography abstracts. I just took a good look at them and figured out why I like them so much! It is the fact that because I mirrored the image...everything in them brings you "into" the picture. In #1 even the merge of the gull works well because the lines in the wings and the fact that the head turns in works for this photo. #2..straight mirror image, but acts like a funnel to bring you from the top to the bottom of the image. #3 is the original that I started out with for #2. An example of a pretty good shot of smoke photography, but it is #2 that, for me, makes it a great abstract. Those are my thoughts...am I on the right track??

I was just looking at the mefoto Road trip travel tripod. I don't want to go to heavy.

I put the money into a carbon fiber tripod to save the weight and then I put a heavy ballhead on it to support my 100-400 and I'm back to heavy.
