The thing I'm concerned with the most is trying to find that line of being close enough to catch the moment but absent enough to allow the moments to naturally happen. I guess it just boils down to personality and ability I spose.
Hey guys, a mate of mine has family comming over for a get together in a couple of weeks. He has asked me if I would join them and be the photographer for the day. I was thinking that I might set up a portrait area and take a lot if casual shots as well. If anyone has any advice, tips or personal experience of this sort of photography then all would be more than welcome. Cheers

No set on monochrome setting. Still waiting for my CS5 to arrive in the mail. Never used ps b4. Looking forward to learning it though. Thanx for the great advice by the way. I've heard that using a blue filter is good for b&w any preferred filters for b&w's.
