Any filter recommendations for clouds? How about a polarizer?

Yeah as I think about it there seems to be a lot of different ways to shoot them. The ND filter that people use to get those great photos of water looking like cotton candy?

Welcome.
Here in the midwest we have a lot of cloudless days, seems like it's always when I have to shoot something that need them. I have a good stock of them. If you don't use Raw yet, shoot in raw, because later you will learn to adjust the files to look more natural. You'll need different times of day to match the lighting and differnt angles as well.

Yeah I always do Raw now! I used to do both JPEG and RAW takes up too much space... I know raw is bigger but there's so much more control so why bother with JPEG

I'm still not very good. The only thing that made this one decent but with noise is PP with Viewnx2. Like everyone else I'd like to get it right in the camera.... Kids just got home now but I'll try to find some of my better ones and post... Thanks for the welcome!!

I'm looking to take pictures of clouds to add to some of my boring pictures, and just to have nice pictures of them. I'm a virgin to posting here, been following the site for months and thought I was registered but wasn't til today, so be gentle...

Gimp is free and says it works for macs now. I don't have a mac but if I can make a watermark with it anyone can.
