I moved here to Boise, ID over two years ago after living in AZ for 14 years, haha! Anyway, I returned to AZ for the first time since leaving, for the week of Thanksgiving.
I was really happy to get the chance to photograph one of the incredible sunsets that AZ has to offer.
Here are two of my shots.
Both shot on the same day, in Scottsdale, Arizona.
thank you so much, I appreciate it! :)

Beautiful shots. Very nice compositions. I like all three.
:-) :)
Whats wrong with my website? Please tell me :)
Its powered through 500px so, technically
its not a website, but more of a portfolio.
Im originally from the Finger Lakes region. A little town called "Seneca Castle" about 5 miles from Geneva.

Love the second, I can see there is a difference in exposure among the three and that one - to me - seems to strike the perfect balance. Care to share settings? I am experimenting with long exposures also, using small appertures, long exposure and low ISOs from 100 to 200. Not close yet to be around such a beautiful site.
Thanks for the feedback :) I really appreciate it.
I shot these shots on a shutter speed of "bulb" or 1/30 of a second. I went back and forth between the two to see which ones turned out better. 1/30 of a second seems to work good or oh! 1/13th of a second. My ISO was 200-400 and my f-stop was f14 :)
I didn't have my tripod with me when I did these. I basically used whatever I could rest my camera on
.I won't make that bad decision of not bringing my tripod again haha! I also, used my shutter release :) Hope this helps :)
Ok so, I am just starting to play around with long exposures and I am very much enjoying teaching myself how to get some good long exposure shots :)
Here are a couple of downtown Boise that I did last weekend..12/1/13 :)
What do you guys think?
Im gonna post three actually. One is gonna be very similar to another
almost the same shot actually, but in one of them I have more of the high rise hotel in the distance in the shot :)
Christmas time in Boise #1
downtown Boise #2
Downtown Boise #3 this is the one that is similar to the other
closer shot
great shots of them! I cannot stand raccoons though hahaha!!
I just moved here to Boise, Idaho and I have been having not one, but EIGHT visitors come to my house almost on a nightly basis! ha!
I was sitting out on my porch last week, it was very late at night, and the eight of them came up...RIGHT up to my porch! The two adult ones stood up on their hind legs, stuck their little claws up, and starting hissing and snarling at me! One of the younger ones was about a foot away from and was hunched down and snarling at me haha!!!
I moved here from Scottsdale, AZ and we had raccoons there, but they were NEVER bold like these ones....or rabid like these ones here haha!!
Fantastic photos you caught here!

Tim: great set Sir. I like it when there are colored leaves among the greens of the spruce and pines like you show.
Well framed, nice presentation.
