Do any of you have the Sawstop table saw? Most of the woodworkers on YouTube seem to have them. I've been using table saws for over fifty years, and I still have ten fingers. My first Craftsman had no safety features, unlike my current Ridgid. The Sawstop starts at $1,400 for the jobsite model - similar to my Ridgid ($485). I could sell the Ridgid for a couple of hundred (maybe), but that still leaves a large expense for something I don't use to earn a living.

Well, it's something to think about.

instead of having those of us who believe in God, Country and Family conform to the way someone else believes to that they are "not excluded" why not encourage those who believe other ways to post their own way to a happy family. As for me and my house "we will serve the Lord"

My wife asked me to come look at the pretty bird on the top of our pine tree. I grabbed my D500 and 500mm f5.6 PF lens hurried through the house to get to the deck. I only got off a few shots before it dove off of the opposite side of the tree and flew away. After downloading I noticed it was banded.

What a beautiful falcon. Maybe next time I can get more than the back side.

Enjoy,
Steve

I think the magical quality of tape measures is that no matter how many you own, they disappear when you actually need to use one.

Isn't that the truth.
I must have 6 or 7 and can't seem to find one when I need it.

I was watching Stumpy Nubs - yes, that's his name - on YouTube, talking about his favorite tools. One of them is a Stanley 10' tape measure. He said that although it's small and short, it's good to keep handy, and he has about a dozen of them.

When I younger, I remember tape measures being 6' long. That wasn't an oddity. It was more or less standard, and I had a bunch of them. Now, the 25' tape is standard, and I have a bunch of them. It guess it's true what they say: Bigger is better.

Stumpy Nubs has a lot of everything, not just tapes.
Great you tube videos though, very informative.

I had a HD crash this summer and replaced with SSD and Win 10. I also replaced PS elements to 2020. Now all of my pics are squatty, things that are suppose to be round are now oval. I have tried every resolution in my monitor settings and it does change some but does not cure. I have shots with a different camera and get same results. Any thoughts? As is really turns me off to do any processing. I don't believe it is Elements either as when I just open a file from card reader it is out of round. Any help is appreciated!

I'm using a Lenovo with windows ten and the clock appears good.
It could be your monitor or, if your wearing glasses, some distortion could be occurring as a result.
I say this because depending on which pair of glasses I wear, I sometimes see a straight line as slightly curved.
This is remedied by switching to my other pair.

1. The dumbest thing I ever bought was a 2020 planner.
2. 2019: Stay away from negative people. 2020: Stay away from positive people.
3. The world has turned upside down. Old folks are sneaking out of the house & their kids are yelling at them to stay indoors!
4. This morning I saw a neighbour talking to her cat. It was obvious she thought her cat understood her. I came to my house & told my dog.... We had a good laugh.

Are Santa's reindeer male or female?

"Santaā€™s reindeer have been depicted as males throughout the media but science proves that these depictions are in fact wrong. Experts have stated that his reindeer are female as male reindeer lose their antlers in early December when mating season has ended, whilst female reindeer keep theirs throughout winter. As Santaā€™s reindeerā€™s are depicted with antlers, this can only lead to the conclusion that it is females that power the sleigh through the sky during the night of Christmas Eve each year."
