Is it not important that I should have Time Machine running?
Also, the issue occurs only from time to time and not that frequently....but, there is no obvious reason why it occurs at all. During the majority of workflow sessions the computer is running sweetly with Time Machine running alongside.
It sounds like your processor is busy doing something, may not even be LR might be some other processor intensive software.
When it happens, you can go to your Task Manager and look at the processes. Sort the processes by CPU to see what is using the most resources. If it something you are not using or need running, you can kill the process, freeing up the processor.
Thanks Dan, fun taking pics of the birds.

Al nice shots, Ray! Your cat doesn't look the least bit interested in the hummingbirds! :)
Actually the cat is not at all interested, too well fed. Thanks for your comments.
A few shots from yesterday afternoon. Used a Sony A57 and Tamron 400mm lens. Also used flash and high speed sync. Shutter speeds were 1/800 to 1/2500 on the shots.

nice processing I like the girl the best
The bike pic was not processed after the photo was taken, all done in camera.
Changed brightness and contrast. Sharpened using High Pass Filter.

Thanks for your comments.
Thanks all for the comments. I love photography and my job is to run sound for bands and Karaoke at bars so I get lots of opportunities to take people pics.

Too bad about her teeth...
Thank you. I fixed that. I made 5x7's of this, at that rez, it looked fine. Even us old timers screw up sometimes.
I guess I am not allowed to post helpful advice in the Main Forum. Every time I do, the admin moves it somewhere else.
The 2nd photo is just out of the camera, no processing.

Exposure is perfect on the first. Great angles too.
Thank you for the comment.
Photography is all about light, not how good your gear is. There are many tricks to capture more light without over-exposing the shot. HDR is one, I use HDR quite a bit on shots.
Another trick I use is HSS (High Speed Sync.) using an external flash unit. The camera is set in Manual, Shutter Speed is upwards of 1/1000 to 1/2000 sec. Aperture is set for the amount of light you need for the exposure. The flash unit must be capable of HSS. Posting 2 shots below, one HDR, one HSS.
BTW - I use Sony A series cameras. Sigma flashes.
HSS - Taken at aprox 3PM outside, cloudy day.

HDR - Taken at about 3 PM, sunny day.
