Both images above have one thing in common . . . bad composition. The main subject 99% of the time should not be centered. The image of the flower is badly out of focus . . . possibly too close for the lens.
Right idea. See monster (Sea Monster). Bob's identified the problem- too many distractive elements. There is good potential for filling the frame with the monster sea slug crawling up the personal water craft. Some creative framing would made the difference.

Wow! Even when I appreciate the criticism I don't understand the agression! I'm not a "professional" and I don't want to be one! But I'm a 50 years old mom and wife and I know what respect means. I don't care if you are a "pro" but some people need to learn to be polite and respectful! So sad to read this kind of comments in this forum!
Your pictures are great. Try the shots again after studying and practicing MWAC's fantastic lessons in the link tk gave you. Repost above with the new ones and we'll all be as awed as you will be by the difference. JayJay
