Thank you. I needed a laugh and this just hit me in the best way: a good belly laugh! The shots are just so reminiscent of portraiture of that age of stuffy, stilted head shots. I am sure there are matches for ALL in some Belgian museum or the Met!

What a terrific find. It is fun to consider the progress of creativity once this fellow got stated and just couldn't stop. It is one of the funniest things EVAR. (Yes, I do know the correct spelling.)

Again, thanks for sharing that link.

Beautifully done. Sorry, but I like the shot in natural color best. The Trump building without color is like trump himself with a crew cut.

hahahahahahahahha.. crew cut, that is a very funny analogy~

You are giving us some amazing geography lessons. I look up all the locations you post and am happy to be learning about this part of the world.
The first shot is stunning. The others are lovely, too, and give us even more detail.
Thanks for sharing your shots and lens details.

You captured the motion and the moody weather! I can just feel the damp!
Looks like you had fun tweaking at home.

Thanks, Ron. Always appreciate those thumbs!

Doing night shots can be a lot of fun, but I find it's frustrating trying to get the effect you want, without either washing out the color or getting way too much noise.

Much easier and more fun to cheat, lol.

This one was done in full daylight, then processed (Photoshop and Topaz) to give the scene that moonlit effect. Added the lights on the house and then tried doing some fake floodlighting of the house's exterior to make it appear a night shot.

Not perfect, but I thought it worked pretty well for a first try at doing something like this.

Thanks--as always--for looking.
Thanks, Ron. Always appreciate those thumbs! br... (show quote)

Incredible post processing! That is just wonderfully done. I love it. Thanks for sharing and expanding my ambitions!

A 5 block walk from my house to this setting. I'm quite fortunate.

These are lovely shots. You are located tucked away in an area of Wisconsin that I have not visited. But your area is now on my list for a Great Lakes jaunt. Yeah, it will take a long time, but I think the lakes are distinctive enough to yield some stunning shots from each. Does the Great Lakes Circle Tour route go near you?
Thanks for sharing your delightful views.

If you are a Newbie, the 60D will be a wonderful camera for you. You will be able to grow into photography with a very good tool and it will serve you well. It has features that will delight you. Don't be afraid to use the video feature on the shores of Lake Michigan. I have captured quite good wave action with this camera as well as spring stream torrents. This is a very nice and solid choice. LOTS of room to grow with it.

Congratulations on the new grandbaby. I take so many pictures of my granddaughters one of them is getting camera shy. She should be used to it by now. She's 3.

Shy but adorable! That first shot is just charming and both will be cherished forever. If you are this good at capturing reticence, you will have some of your best shot with this little darling. Oh, the hair; oh, the eyes. What a cutie.

You have some very nice shots here!

Thank you 2MATO, I could not believe anyone could say such a thing. Stuff is just stuff. Persons are more important.

I don't think the person intended it to be hurtful, and I was quick to respond, but it IS so important to think some of those quickly said things through a bit more.
Thanks for understanding.

There are some other things I saw, and I'll keep looking. Loosing your gear is like getting raped.

Um.... no.... actually it is not. It is like being robbed and feeling personally violated, space violated, etc. Please do not say this is like rape. Gear is STUFF. Stuff can be replaced, insured, etc. Rape cannot be undone and is violence.

Sorry if this is like preaching, but your statement is just not appropriate. I can't think of a rape victim that would say this.
