I have purchased 3 different panasonic cameras over the last several years.

I have just discovered that each camera "starts over" with the numbering system.

I now have 3 "duplicates" with the same number but different images. The duplicates are caused because each new camera starts numbering in the same place.

I am having the problem in "Photos" on a Mac

Panasonic customer service is no help and says they do not have a solution.

Anyone else having this problem???

Help!!! I need a solution to my duplicate problem.

I have been using a lot of different settings on my Nikon P100, mostly the Aperture and Shutter speed setting. This is one of my first tries at completely manual settings.

Any and all critiques are welcome and appreciated.

I had ad Nikon P50, took great pictures and does have optical viewfinder. I did have problems with the len function "In and out" and subsequently had to quit using it. I anyone needs a camera like this for spare parts, let me know and it's yours for the shipping.

My Nikon p100 has the option of many different size image sizes ranging from 640 x 480 to 3648 x 2736 and image quality from Fine to Basic.

Is there any reason to use anything less than the 3648 x 2736 and the "fine" image quality other than to save disc space.

Will it be more grainy with the higher counts, or anything thing else detrimental??

My logic says you should get the best quality photo with the highest image count and the "fine" setting.

Am I right???

I have had 2 different Nikon Coolpix P50's. Both of them had trouble with the lens and the motor for zoom etc. I really liked the cameras, especially for the optical view finder.

Bottom line: the second one is toast and I need to replace it with another small P&S. If anyone has a use for a broken camera for parts etc., let me know.

My budget is in the less than $300.00 range, preferably closer to $200.00.

I'm a novice that enjoys photography, but always trying to improve, with no aspirations for anything more than a good amateur. I have another camera that I use when I go out to specifically take photos. The new camera is strictly to keep on hand for the spontaneous photos.

I'm really having trouble going thru all the specs and trying to determine what is best.

I'd like to be in the 14 mp range, and >10 zoom. Does this zoom and pixel sound reasonable???

Where I really get lost is the sensors. Size, CMOS, CCD???? The GPS sounds interesting, but I have heard they are too slow to really be of any benefit. Comments/Suggestions Please!!!

Any suggestion as to what you use, or have experience will be greatly appreciated.

Lost of knowledge here that I am just trying to tap in to.

I was walking and just taking a few photos. I ran across this tree, and it was just amazing to me.

Seems like two oak trees were growing close to each other, and somehow they grew together and created another branch, that goes straight up.

Has anyone seen anything like this, It is a "first" for me.

I would appreciate any suggestions on the photos to improve them, or comments to help the quality.

This seems to be a great subject, and anything I could do to improve the photo is appreciated.

I thought there was something called rastering (?) that you could do to make very large prints.

I don't know what it is, or what it does, but I bet someone on the forum does.

Please educate me, and probably others.

We have an annual party in Tampa Florida called Gasparilla. One of the bigger events in the city all year.

I took this photo of a couple of guys that I just thought were the epitome of what Gasparilla is about.

Be brutally honest and tell me what I need to improve the photo. I'm a firm believer that to improve, you need advice and criticism.

Please have at it!!!
