Hello all, going to Italy mid- March for 2 weeks. What do you think would be the best lenses to take with me. Here are my current lenses; EF 16-35 F2.8, EF 70-200 F4, EF 50 F1.8, RF 100-400 F 5.6-8, and RF 24-105 F4-7.1. Will be mainly shooting the sites of Italy. Thanks in advance.

Went to Italy in September with my new Sony alpha 7R. I took a 35mm f1.4, which I love. Super sharpe and sees what my eye sees, Also a 70 - 200 with anti shake. This was great on ferry and boat rips. My all around was a 24-70 f2.8, just a great all around lense

I used my Nikon 35mm f2.8 on my 800 in NYC. I won first place in a local photo contest when I returned!

I was able to go to the Dayton Aerospace museum and touch the plane. The aluminum plates that make up the outside are loose to they can expand with heat.

I purchase from a local store in Elmira, NY, B&C Photo. Face to face local service and advice is the best. Many times they have made a photo for me and framed it the same day with no shipping!

Good Morning All:

Thank you all for the prompt answers. I find it very interesting that this duck has come so far north?

Good Afternoon All: I have been watching the Forum for quite some time. You are all great and very helpful! I was driving along a road in Horseheads by Mill Pond, which is a shallow pond used for youth fishing. This large duck walked in front of my car and jumped in the pond. I jumped out of the car with my D7000, which had a Nikkor 16-85mm DX lens on it and took a few pictures. I have showed the photo to quite a few people and no one can identify what kind of duck it is. Does anyone know what it is?

What king of Duck?

I have the Nikon 16-85 mm lense which I use as an all around lense plus for our Real Estate busines, www.TeamRomans.com. I think the higher price on this lense over the kit lenses is two fold. The 16-85 is more substantial and built for a more serious photographer, less of these lenses are sold then the kit lense. The kit lense is designed and mass produced to compete in the Big Box stores for price not performance. My belief is buy the one that meets your requirements. The 16 mm is very useful for inside pictures for Real Estate.

Very nice, I like the close ups. Bethleham Steel brings back memories. My first job out of school was Jones & Laughlin Steel.

I purchased a Nikon D-7000 in the spring and was planning of building an inventory of about three lenses. I do Real Estate photography to children and portraits. The first lense I purchased was the Nikon DX 16-85 mm and so far I haven't purchased a second lense. This one being slightly wide angle, for Real Estate, to a little telephoto has been a great all around lense.

I purchased my D7000 from a Local Store in our town. It came with a manual and a one hour training session. When I have had a problem with equipment in the past I receive personal service from the store owner. Shop Local!
