Photographs are just as important to the elderly as they are to the very young. They eagerly came in their wheelchairs to whisper into his ear and more than once I heard them ask, "Santa, can I go home?"

There are some things that even Santa doesn't know how to answer.

Let's remember to count our blessings and share our love with those that just want to be included in the family's festivities.

Thank you, I enjoyed looking at your website, too.

Yes, I am lucky to be living in paradise, and over the past five years, I have made some very good friends and love my life in Hawaii. It is now home for me.

It is great to have my clients running down a beach in the sunshine or laying upon a rock or looking out at the ocean. They return home with wonderful images and memories. I am blessed to be part of their vacation.

Hawaii is paradise, and yes, real estate is out-of-control. Unless money is no object, homes and land are unaffordable for most average income workers. Many local families live together to afford housing costs. The trade-off is less indoors and more outdoors. It works for me, but the adjustment is difficult for many people with expensive taste that simply cannot downsize.

Come for a vacation here and check it out... but be prepared to get caught up in the worst traffic in the nation while you travel to find the secluded beaches.

Everyplace has its high and low points... just have to decide what you can live with and without.

Keeping love in your heart to share with others will help with the pain. Believe that his spirit is still alive.

I am sure it will be a beautiful, touching session, and I hope you will have a lot of laughter and fun included so the girls will have positive, strong memories of their dad while they are separated.

That quote is right on, however, I am sure there must be many different reasons for many different photographers. Mine is: I enjoy having adolescents with self-esteem issues in front of my camera. With a trusting bond established I can empower them to create images that can change the way they feel about themselves. The photos can be used as cards to reset the negative images they have had for years into strong, positive, beautiful and inspirational images. Of course, direction to achieve these images is needed, but without letting the young adult know what your goal is really about, it allows them to play-role. There is no greater reward to see their expressions when they view the photos, usually in disbelief... "wow, is that really me!"

This is just one reason I love photography.

We are only a plane flight away from Pittsburgh (a long plane flight, that is). But, the Aloha spirit is shown in abundance to the tourists here, which can make up the travel time.

Thank you for welcoming me to Ugly Hedgehog.

thanks, I would be glad to share some of my work. I recently photographed this college student. She said she wasn't photogenic, which always makes me smile, everyone is photogenic if captured in the right light, the best angle and their spirit is revealed.

I am originally from the Boston area so I know what a cold winter is about, thus my move to Hawaii five years ago. I have no regrets on relocating, although starting a new business here is very difficult, especially with hundreds of photographers on the island.

My passion is photography, thus here I am, always willing to learn more and share what I do know. I am a professional photographer located in Honolulu, Hawaii. People are my choice subjects, I always strive to capture their spirits, as everyone has a unique spirit to share. It is very important to create trust between you and your clients. I usually do this with a pre-shoot brief meeting so when they arrive at their session, they are already relaxed and feel confident in themselves and with me.

I hope to hear new ideas or be of help to others through this forum.
