Jennifer, I like #2. Hope you don't mind but I played with the cropping a little. . . If you're able to get this close I believe your pics would really pop. . .Not that they don't right now, they are really great shots. . .

I don't mind at all, and thanks for the compliment. I think this one held the crop better Jen :-) :-)

The eyes of the cat in the second image really make that shot a keeper. . . Looks like you're getting to know the camera pretty good. . .

For years I took as many as 40 to 50 weddings a year and now I am lucky to get 1/2 that everybody carries cameras these day and as far as Photos of the weddings i shoot now tell me just put the pictures on a disk, they like showing them on TV and if they want prints they do there own , it hard to charge $900 to $1200 to shoot a Wedding and hand them a disk instead of an Album with Photos in it

You've probably seen wedding where guests receive single-use cameras. They snap away and then hand in the cameras. . .
quote=rebeil For years I took as many as 40 to 50... (show quote)

I don't call myself an all out pro but more semi-pro. . . I've used that trick at the few weddings I've done. . . It actually let me got out of actually shooting the ceremonies. . . Wouldn't have taken those jobs if I hadn't been begged and pleaded with. . . But what I shot were strictly B&W formal shots of the brides and their grooms on film and when I collected the point and shoots from the guests I'd sit down with the couple and their parents and go through all the shots and pull out the absolute best to create photobooks of the weddings which I took care of ordering.

So, basically, I got paid for the prints of the formals I took and a small commission for the photobooks. . .

Not a fan of shooting weddings and don't really plan to do any others. . . but if I do. . . I'd probably go about it the same way. . .

alamo, your B&W leaves are stunning. Almost looks three dimensional.

Thanks, pioneer. . . I made that shot on 4x5 film then reshot the print in digital to load in on the puter since i don't have a scanner. . . had to reshoot it a few times to get it to look like the original, though. . . have a lot to learn about rephotographing photographs. . . at least for me, it's not as easy as it looks. . .

Great shots. . . but I do think that last one makes the most dramatic statement. . . the angle gives it a lot of strength. . . then again that just be my opinion. . .

What type of file is it? Maybe convert it to jpeg? Not sure, to be honest, tho'. . .
I am a techno dummy! How do I convert it? I tried moving it to a thumb drive, and posting it from there, but that didn't work either.

I'm afraid you've got me there. . . I be a techno dummy, my own self. . . These days a 3 yr old knows more than I do about these puter thingies. . .

But what kind of photo software are you using?
