Please, put that tablecloth back on your table, it's waaay too busy to be used in this fashion, IMHO...

The Kodak P850, as I recall, is/was an 8MP with a stabilized auto zoom Schneider lens and hot-shoe to accept the Kodak P20 zoom flash. The P712 is/was 7MP with a stabilized 12X auto zoom, also able to use the P20 flash.
These cameras were part of the so called Pro series by Kodak that included the P880, 8MP non-stabilized 5.8X manual zoom lens. The P880 also accepted the P20 flash unit.
All three cameras programs would allow the P20 or built-in flip flashes independent or simo operation.
As for Kodak repair stations, do a Google search on "Kodak Digital Camera Repair" and you should see several reliable business that can fix your popup problem reasonably...
As an aside, the Z980 (12MP, 24X IS auto zoom) is the only current Kodak camera that will accept the P20 external zoom flash. This is my current shooter and as I have always done, I have 2 of them. For serious work, carry a working spare...
