I am in love with number two. I enjoyed the tone, lighting, and angle. Very nice. :) #1 is outstanding. Would love to see a closer shot revealing the pinnacle. Great beauty in the colors. I also enjoyed the composition on the statues amazing detail. 8-)

It's definitely difficult to have two key objects arranged in a confined place. It's a fine line drawn between clutter and art. Having said that, I do like them in their own uniqueness. Could see the thought process as you created each shot.

I would love that, problem is I can't drive, I can't stand, sit, or walk for lengthy periods of time. Going short distance such as church I need to take a cane. Long distance such as the zoo I need a wheel chair. I was one of the unfortunate ones who received 3 tainted epidural shots in the summer of 2012. I am slowly recovering but, it's been a terribly long fight.

This was based on a challenge from a friend and a little encouragement from a friend. Since I am not able to get around much and lug my gear around. This challenge was very simple. I grabbed a black curtain, hung it over a table in my garage, took a plastic 3x3 tray with an open end, and began to think about my challenge. It was as simple as a cup. I thought about things that represented me. The cup because I love art and a good fresh brewed coffee. The bible, I love Gods word which goes well with a cup of coffee, and tossed in my glasses. Next, the hard part (for me anyway) dig out my gear and set it up. I have a Nikon D60 and grabbed my tripod. I set the tripod levels and below the table. I did this so I good adjust the height and angle of the picture. Although I think I should have brought the camera up a bit higher. Snapped my picture and off to the editing room. There I was with my first still. It was easy to do once you had an idea as to what it is you are looking for. I made a few mistakes like the height of the camera and the hande of the mug facing the bible. If I had posted the original here you woul have been able to read the text of which I am currently studying. Thank you very much for your kind words on the photo. I am elated that it has brought you inspiration. I look forward to seeing your next still. Please email me so I don't miss it.

To me this picture is the opposite of your explanation of HDR in your tool box thread. The 2nd photo here looks to me as what I would view 1st while traveling down this lonely patch of road. Well, done sir
