Congratulations on the marriage.

I'm going to suggest to the camera club I'm in (Pilchuck Camera Club) that we come down this summer to one of the Lawn Bowls at the park there in Tacoma. I've been to one several years ago and found it interesting.

I used to live in Everett and belonged to PCC. Say hi to Renata from John and Mary W

Can anyone help me please? I had started to reply to erv, broke off to answer the door and when I returned the cat had posted 10 pages on my behalf. She just has to sit on the keyboard. I'm unsure of how to contact admin. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind reply.
The viaduct was opened in 1886. Originally the railway was intended to swing inwards and bypass the village. However, a private estate exists there and the Aristocratic owner refused permission. (Anecdotal from my youth)
There are three spans in total across the village but the other two are single span.

Thanks. A bit of history fleshes out even a beautiful picture.

Welcome to UHH David.
Yes there is a "dry side" to Washington State. The Cascade Mountains cause the moist air coming from the Pacific to rise thus it dumps it's moisture as it rises over the western slope and crest. Ergo. dry basin to the eastern part of the state.
One can see the margin clearly in the vegetation changes when driving through the Columbia Gorge.Interesting Geo-climatology.

Great picture of Big Sky country. Love the lead lines cast by the limbs of the tree.

With Xume adaptors, there's no screwing around with filters. You get a it of vignetting at wide angles, but they are very nice to use. The price is reasonable, but then they add shipping. Even on Amazon, you have to pay shipping, which is almost as much as the item itself.

Cool !! Thanks Jerry. I had never seen these before and great idea. Will order some.

First, want to thank you all for your suggestions and advices. To answer your questions and follow through, yes the jpg is an orignal with no cropping and no photoshop or retouch. And yes, I do have a UV filter on the lens as a safety precaution. What filter would you (Anyone suggest to use) if you do not have a UV filter?

Nikon makes a "clear filter" that is for lens protection. I use these for protection but when ready to take picture I remove lens cap AND filter by unscrewing filter and removing both. This takes extra time but achieve protection when needed and unimpeded picture as needed.
