I have a Nikon D300 and a D70 both do not take video. Went to the D300 for speed because taking sports photos. The D70 is much lighter and much easier to use. My 13 year old uses it all the time.

My wife, granddaughter (age 17) and I will be traveling from San Diego to Sunnyvale before my Granddaughter plays in the ASA National Tournament in Sunnyvale on July 28th.

We will have a rental car and hope to explore some scenic locations, towns and drives and find several picturesque places to stay. Not sure how much time we need to set-a-side for the trip before the Tournament (any help would be appreciated).

The Tournament is from July27 thru August 4th. Hope that we will have some time between games to see of the surrounding areas around Sunnyvale.

Tentative plans are to fly back home from San Francisco on August 6th. We are flexible as to times, except during the Tournament dates.

Any and all suggestions most appreciated. Thanks
Bill

I volunteer my shots for the FCP&R for all types of different types of activities, for my granddaughters Fastpitch softball team and other teams when asked and for two High Schools Softball Teams. My friends regularly volunteer me for many different things.

Hi John
I also take shotos of my granddughter fastpitch softball team and High School qames. The best thing that works for me is to know the umpires very well and some times take and send them a photo of them in the game. Most let me on the field and I like the 3rd base side best, but it depends on the sun. In High School games the Ga H.S. Association does not let you on the field or in the dugout due to liability issues, but if it is not that type of game, then most of the time I am on the field or in the dugout. Can see some of my photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/billboard3 Bill

Thanks, I will give them a call. The damaged holes in the CF card did bend the pins in the camera and also damaged the circuit board in the camera. The camera has been repaired here in Atlanta but I want to get the photos out of the CF card. Have tried four different card readers and bent the pins in each one. Some how the holes need to be cleaned out so pins can get in.

Does anyone know a company that recover photos from a CF card in which the holes in the card are damaged. Can't put card in a reader because damaged holes bends the pins in the reader. Bill at johnso3@bellsouth.net
