Thank you all very much for your suggestions and input. The links are very educational and, as noted, somewhat confusing. I am currently traveling, so it will be a few days before I can try your recommendations. I am pretty new to this site, but I am already impressed with how helpful you all are. Thanks again.

How do I check my computer screen color settings? Sometimes I plug my tv into my computer to use it for a secondary display while editing photos. The colors on the tv are much more saturated and vivid than the computer screen with the the same file. I don't want to over correct the image colors when editing photos. How do I know what color setting are correct?

Do you like the Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8? I am considering buying one for my walk around lense. Is the Nikon worth twice the money?

Cliff, di you add a filter to that red sky or is that natural? Love the shot.

Thank you. I just started getting into photography about a year ago. I've been reading and learning, and lately it seems like framing up a great shot is all I think about. My intention with this shot was to capture front-to-back clarity of the buildings, the smooth movement of the busy traffic, and to include the details in the foreground to bring the viewer into the image at the vantage point. Thanks to another comment, I now see it is a little off-level. Before, I thought it was the distortion.

I am new here and I am looking for honest feedback from photographers who have knowledge and experience. I took this shot in Guangzhou, China with a Nikon D3100 with a VR 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 kit lense at 18mm / f22 / 30s / ISO 100. I used a handheld Maglite to illuminate the flowers in the foreground while the shutter was open.

Have you used buyherephoto.com? I have been shopping for a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8. This website's prices are way lower than other places I have seen. I want to know if it is a reputable dealer.
