I lived in Sonora for 8 years, so much beauty to capture
I apologize, I am new here and haven't got the the hang of it. I have tried to leave a comment on some of the tree photos posted, but it appears to me it's not going where I am intending it to go.

Awesome images everyone. I so enjoy this site for posts like this! Here is my contribution...just a little Dogwood but the morning was very special...
This one gets my vote, it just stirs a calm and peace in me, the colouring is almost sensual, tranquil
I like it alot, looks like it's reaching out to grap ahold of something

I've shown you my favorites, now show me yours!!!!
Nothing like yours, for sure... but there is a tender message in this one... for me, anyway.
These two trees have been around a while... and are still standing when the trees around them have been broken down by severe weather in the past couple of summers and winters.
Wow! What kind of trees are those? Where was this taken? I like to fine those "odd" trees, the ones that stand out for whatever reason...the shape or the color, but I wonder if anyone else like to take random photos of trees and then zoom in very close section by section once uploaded to computer and discover little surprises....critters, and Faces? Here are a few o my tree photos
The 2 photos were taken 1 after the other, within less than a minute.
The 1st is how it appeared to me; a cold, clear, dry evening at the Copperopolis Cemetary (Copperopolis, Ca)--
The 2nd photo as you can see looks as if it were a foggy, or misty evening, or as I personally believe---Orbs?, spirits of the dead?
(I threw in the 3rd photo because it's one of my favorite), same evening-and that light that looks like the moon...not the moon, there was no moon out(except for a sliver), and in approx 30 photos taken that night, this is the only 1 with the mystery circle of light!
