I wanted to capture the moon over this power station in Long Beach, CA. They have big towers. As it turned out it was to dark to get the power plant and the moon. I was seeing steam being emitted from one of the towers. I was thinking the steam would act like a cloud. I was wrong. It distorted the moon. It almost looks like the moon is crashing. Turned out to be a cool capture. what do you all think?

I thank you all for looking at my photos and for the nice comments. I keep looking for nature's beauty and she has a lot to share.

I've watched Herons waiting patiently trying to catch gophers with no luck. This surprised me. First because I thought they ate mostly aquatic species. Secondly, gophers are pretty fast and hard to catch. My job required removing gophers from my golf courses. I know gopher behavior and they are hard to catch. Today I watched this guy catch 3 gophers in less then an hour. I was blown away. This series of photos is from the stalking to the swallow. I missed a great photo op. The second gopher caught by the GBH was robbed by a red tailed hawk. I was looking at the photos I just took. When I looked up the hawk already took the gopher. I just wasn't quick enough.
